To carry out this democratic exercise, the National Electoral Council (CNE) enabled 1,174 out of 15,800 polling stations that will be operational on election day.
In the upcoming elections, it is expected that over 21.6 million citizens will participate in the election of the president who will lead the destinies of their country for the next six years.
In order to participate in the current electoral simulation, citizens only need to present their identity card at any of the voting centers, CNE President Elvis Amoroso said.
The purpose of the ongoing simulation is to test the voting system and verify the performance of the citizens who have been designated as members of the electoral centers.
The elctoral drill will have the presence of international observers related to the Carter Center, African organizations, and United Nations agencies.
Nevertheless, electoral observers from the European Union (EU) will not participate, despite the fact that the CNE extended two invitations to them in March and May.
Subsequently, the electoral authorities withdrew their official invitation to European observers due to the sanctions that the European Union maintains against various Venezuelan officials.
